Obituary of Sandra May (Zaloznik) Gastgeb

Age 72, of Canonsburg, formerly of Bridgeville, passed away on March 28, 2024. She was born on May 14, 1951, in Pittsburgh. A daughter of the late Ernest and Frances (Augustine) Zaloznik. She is the beloved wife of Larry Gastgeb, loving mother of Wendi (Jon) Duffill and Tim (Amy) Gastgeb, devoted grandmother of Nikolas Krieg, Aidan Krieg, Lily Duffill, Mason Gastgeb and Addison Gastgeb, sister of Arlene Zaloznik and Ernie Zaloznik. Sandy was a retired employee of Kmart, where she worked for many years in the Human Resource Dept. She volunteered for the Washington County Food Bank, as well as maintaining Speer Cemetery, along with her husband Larry. She enjoyed the outdoors and loved hiking, and vacationing at Cape Cod. She adored her grandchildren and never missed a school activity or sporting event. Every Thursday, she and her close friends always got together for “Happy Hour”. Family and friends are invited to share in a Celebration of Sandy’s Life on Thursday, April 4, from 5-8 pm, at Napoli Restaurant, Collier Twp.
